Prepares safety policies, procedures, and guidelines and executes a program budget and safety training; ensures compliance of federal and industry standards.
Serves as technical consultant for all safety and occupational health issues.
Interprets Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and national consensus standards.
Plans, schedules, and conducts safety and health inspections.
Ensures compliance of OSHA General Industry and Construction Standards 29 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 1910/29 CFR 1926 and other industry standards.
Assists or leads accident investigations; prepares chronological narrative of factors, summarizes investigation findings.
Promotes procedures for accident prevention and hazard control.
Analyzes unsafe conditions and operations; provides recommendations for hazard abatement; makes recommendations to eliminate or control hazards.
Assists with preparation of investigative reports of accidents.
Program lead for all matters involving Continuity of Operations, occupant emergency planning, facility emergency management, and OSHA.
Assists in the coordination of disaster preparedness with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Office of Emergency Services (OES).
