About Our Client
I'm partnered with a publicly traded, international aerospace manufacturer as they look to find a new Staff Accountant to work in a varied, cross-functional role partnering closely with the Accounting leadership team. Located near the Barrington, IL area, within this position, you will touch all aspects of accounting and finance from month end close, banking, reconciliations, financial reporting, and various ad hoc analysis to support the operations team.
Job Description
Assist with month-end duties such as entries related to numerous registers, journals and logsSupport AP activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoicesManage the bank relationships by reviewing and approving daily banking requirementsRegularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accountsWork with operations to prepare discrepancy reportsProvide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactionsCommunicate and prepare documentation for external auditorsProcess payroll for hourly staffAd hoc analysis as needed

The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance2+ years of accounting experienceManufacturing experienceStrong verbal and written communicationUnderstanding and application of accounting principles/practicesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel skills)ERP system experience preferredWillingness to establish and maintain effective working relationship
