The Client Accounts Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient experience regarding client financial concerns and addressing provider questions for our Minnesota Clinics. *This position is fully remote, but you MUST reside in the state of Minnesota* Full-time Benefits:

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • High school diploma/GED required, and a minimum of 2 years related work experience in healthcare billing.
  • Associate/bachelor's degree in healthcare billing or administration, accounting, business administration, or similar program, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of health insurance claims balances. Proficiency in medical billing software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Teams
  • Demonstrates awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience in working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and other various aspects of culture.
  • Knowledge and understanding of healthcare compliance and HIPAA regulations
Responsibilities include:
  • Provides exceptional customer service to clients and providers, regarding statement and insurance questions, via phone, portal, email, and text.
  • Investigate and coordinate eligibility denials in EHR and payer portals.
  • Communicates insurance claims adjudicated process to clients, based on their individual explanation of benefits.
  • Verify client insurance coverage and eligibility.
  • Set payment arrangements with clients per Ellie guidelines.
  • Respond to and resolve provider and clinician questions regarding client balances through the FreshService ticketing system.
  • Contact clients via phone, portal and/or text when payments are missed and for collecting past due balances.
