Overall Job Summary

This position is 12-month rotational training program to learn the foundations of a retail business. This program is designed to offer a broad understanding of the supply chain process and allows the Supply Chain Development Program Team Member to learn End-to-End Supply Chain processes as well as develop the business knowledge, skills and attributes needed to start their Supply Chain career within Tractor Supply Company.

Participants will learn about the Tractor Supply Company mission, values, history, and culture; basic retail math, our systems, and will allow rotational assignments between any of the four identified business units (Distribution, Transportation, Planning, or Inventory). The rotation assignments will be devised to align with the participant’s goals and development focus
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

Complete rotations through Supply Chain areas of the Store Support Center (SSC) and Distribution Centers. Rotations Include: Planning Merchandise Planning Supply Chain Planning Field Support Inventory Management Transportation DC Operations Store Freight Days Shadow team members to understand the process flow and big picture. Contribute to the business through guided on-the-job rotation activities. Participate in group and individual training sessions on technical and soft skill such as time management, change management, strategic thinking, and personal accountability. Demonstrate learning through successful completion of program assessments. Apply new skills and knowledge to complete duties in assigned department. Complete a team project using knowledge gained through rotations and collaboration with internal partners. Present findings to senior leadership. Create an individual development plan with assistance from Program Mentor.
Required Qualifications

Experience:

Analytical and problem-solving experience. Previous work and/or internship experience working within Supply Chain Experience with the Microsoft Suite of tools


Education: Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or Transportation. Internal candidates with equivalent experience will be considered.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

Demonstrated analytical ability to drive retail profitability and inventory productivity. High degree of intellectual curiosity and personal drive. Proven team player with strong collaboration skills. Skilled verbal and written communicator. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines. Detail orientation and ability to be highly organized in managing work
