Job PurposeThe Powersports Media Coordinator will support the Power Sports & Products Press department by overseeing aspects of remote media interaction/loans along with logistics, inventory and service shop management, as well as attending 2- and 4-wheel Powersports events.
Key Accountabilities- PS&P Media Interaction - work with Remote Media outlets across Endemic, Social and Ambassadors to inform and promote Honda Powersports products. This will focus heavily on outlets outside of the Southern California and Atlanta area.
- Department Inventory Management (All activities in regard to forecasting and ordering units, ensuring PSP products arrive on time for PR departments for all activities; also responsible for future removal from inventory and Pro Sales)
- Logisitics Management (All activity regarding requesting and reviewing transportation quotes from varied vendors, selecting and confirming the business with the selected trucking agency, while also organizing and setting up pickups for units loaned to vendors, influencers and endemic media outlets all while ensuring budget parameters are met)
- Torrance service shop management (Responsible for organizing maintenance of West Coast fleet of PR and Events motorcycles, ATVs and SXS products. Also responsible to ensure CA fleet of products are being maintained by working with Torrance service shop; responsible to implement a system to establish timelines to ensure products are ready to be loaded for loans on specified dates
- At-event support (Assist with media interaction and on-site support of Honda PR events)
- Manage experiential support vehicles; ensure that all experiential department vehicles are properly maintained and in a timely manner
Minimum Educational Qualifications
- BA Degree or equivalent PSP/industry work experience
Minimum Experience
- 4+ years Powersports Dealer, OE, media outlet or Aftermarket supplier experience required
- Good mechanical knowledge and understanding of Powersports technology
Other Job-Specific Skills
- Have familiarity of 2- and 4-wheel PSP business and marketing, including overall product knowledge of the Honda line-up and a good understanding of competitors products
- Must be comfortable in a role that requires public speaking to large groups with expertise in our product categories
- Must be able to safely load and unload motorcycles, ATVs and SXS onto trailers to ensure safe delivery to location
- Must be able to operate a forklift to load and unload units from trucks
- Prior event coordination/attendance/execution preferred
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
