We are a global expert in the development, production, and marketing of OEM (original equipment manufacturers) coatings and solutions.


We are looking for a quick learner with a reliable work ethic to join our team  The role responds to customer requirements, enforces product quality/performance specification, and supports new product/application development. The Customer Site Service Representative I (CSSR I) will provide on-site expertise of product performance including color management, defect identification, and corrective action if necessary. S/he will develop and support customer relationships. 


The role supports the efforts of a BASF sales/technical team to assure value to the customer for product technical support, problem investigation, analysis and resolution. The position assures product performance meets or exceeds customer expectations and supports business objectives to be our customer’s supplier of choice.  The incumbent will demonstrate the technical and professional expertise to enhance BASF’s reputation with the customer. S/he will integrate within the business and technical community to bring additional value to ECO coatings customers. The role controls key performance indicators within product service environments to drive problem resolution and product improvement initiatives critical to customer performance expectations.  This role is Sunday - Thursday roughly 10pm -6:30am and is in Smyrna, TN, just outside Nashville.

  • Supporting the daily operation of BASF products in Customer Automotive Assembly Plants.
  • Providing on-site technical and application expertise of product performance including color management, defect identification, and corrective action if necessary.
  • Assuring product performance meets or exceeds customer expectations and supports business objectives to be our customer’s supplier of choice.
  • Responding to customer requirements, enforcing product quality/performance specification, and supporting new product/application development.
  • Supports the efforts of a BASF sales/technical team to assure value to the customer for product technical support, problem investigation, analysis, and resolution.

  • An ingrained safety mindset, excellent interpersonal and communication skills will serve you well as you perform your daily tasks individually and in a team environment.
  • You will employ your strong mechanical aptitude as you collect and analyze technical data to identify and resolve issues to provide a superior product to your customers.
  • Accompanying your attention to detail in following written procedures, work instructions and JSAs, proficiency with the Microsoft Office product suite will be crucial to your effectiveness in communicating results.
  • Your track record of working independently will demonstrate your leadership potential and flexibility that showcases a willingness to work shifts and weekends when necessary.
  • High School Diploma (or GED) required.  Previous manufacturing expertise a plus
