We are seeking a dedicated Front Desk Agent to join our medical office team.
The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, manage administrative tasks, and maintain a welcoming and organized environment for patients and staff.
The Front Desk Agent will work closely with healthcare professionals and other support staff to ensure seamless operations in our busy medical office.
Duties:
Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
Handle patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and manage patient records.
Utilize medical receptionist skills to manage patient flow, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with healthcare providers.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient demographics, medical history, and test results.
Comply with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, filing documents, and managing office supplies.
Manage medical office systems, including scheduling software, patient portals, and electronic health records (EHRs).
Collaborate with medical professionals to coordinate patient care and provide exceptional customer service.
Handle emergency situations and provide assistance to patients in crisis.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area and perform other duties as assigned.
Skills:
Experience in a medical office, dental clinic, or healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
Proficiency in medical receptionist software and systems.
Ability to manage medical records and maintain patient confidentiality.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities and procedures.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and medical office software.
