Overview

The Senior Workforce Capacity Analyst plans, develops, and implements operational workforce models and contingency plans to ensure coding resources are appropriately allocated to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met. This role monitors the day-to-day project progress against production plans and interacts with team(s) of coders, directly or indirectly to deliver key components to the Cotiviti coding program. This role works with all levels of coding leadership, as well as External Vendor Management and other areas related to coding production, quality, training, and analytics to ensure desired production outcomes are achieved.

Responsibilities

- Monitor coding production throughput of internal and external coding staff. Develop and implement actions to proactively address variances in partnership with coding leadership.
- Actively participates in all production meetings with Coding leadership to develop coding and abstraction production plans. Communicates production plans and project priorities to the project stakeholders in preparation for on-boarding and/or scheduling of client project. This includes both on shore and offshore client projects and is inclusive of all phases of the coding review process.
- Escalate and Resolve issues that impact coding production and the full utilization of coding abstraction services. This will involve working closely with Coding leadership, Vendor Management, Quality/Training, and other areas related to production.
- Review historical data and trends to improve forecasting accuracy. Develop models and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy in resource allocation including budget planning. Present analysis and interpretation for operational and business review and strategic planning.
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure production goals are met. In partnership with coding leadership, provide vendor partners with accurate and frequently updated forecasts to ensure anticipated onboarding and ramp plans align with project timelines.
- Manage the communication, process revisions, and forecasting of production and capacity plans to Coding Leadership. Reports are reviewed daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly as needed.
- Independently monitor existing inventory levels and take action to maintain optimal client service and coder throughput. Reports are reviewed daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly as needed.
- Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
- Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in operations, statistics, healthcare administration or related field.
- 5+ years operational/financial planning experience including experience in capacity and production planning and forecasting.
- Coding certification: RHIA, RHIT, CRC, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H preferred but not required.
- Ability to analyze data to identify trends, outliers or areas that need attention from a workforce production perspective, and implement changes as needed.
- Demonstrated success in managing large operational projects, including workforce management, capacity, and contingency planning.
- Expert proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills with attention to detail, and stakeholder interaction.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills to understand data to influence decision making.
- Computer and technology literate.
- Manage multiple client deliverables and competing deadlines simultaneously.
- Awareness and adherence to HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
- Must remain flexible to aid in any emergent situations and/or projects.
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must organize/prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and projects, work independently and function effectively as a team member.
- Ability to extract data from various systems and processes to help ensure strategic, data-driven decision making.Knowledge of healthcare / health plan industry is preferred.

Base compensation ranges from $74,000 Yr. to $90,000 Yr. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
