Scope:

Support of production activities of assigned product lines, APQP planning for successful launch of new/or future programs and/or business tooling transfers into or out of facility.

 

Specific Responsibilities:
1. Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements and workflow to improve operation efficiency.
2. Establish timing plans for construction and qualification of prototype and production tooling.
3. Supervise personnel and activities related to tooling/secondary equipment to include repairs, engineering changes, improvements, quote assessments and tool performance evaluations.
4. Perform studies for corrective actions on internal and external problems to assure root cause identification and verification and ensure permanent corrective actions have been implemented.
5. Manage production equipment and process to achieve dimensional and ergonomic requirements.
6. Verify and maintain all network BOM information and adjust / requote as necessary.
7. Lead brainstorm sessions, design reviews and reverse-PFMEA workshops.
8. Evaluate potential effects of product design changes prior to performing change(s).
9. Establish and maintain accuracy of E-BOM document for assigned product line.
10. Lead problem solving/brainstorming activity to resolve manufacturing problems.
11. Manage daily product risks and identify continuous improvement opportunities during lifecycle.
12. Review and analyze daily scrap and labor data to drive improvements of manufacturing lines to run efficiently.
13. Utilize the Engineering data base and all support procedures to communicate and effectively manage engineering changes for assigned products.
14. Learn, understand and work within all customer engineering systems and/or data bases.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/related field and/or Minimum 3 years experience in Automotive Interior Manufacturing, Quality or Engineering
