Job Posting: Ammonia Refrigeration Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation and alterations of refrigeration systems and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Assist in the preventative maintenance program by following work orders and documenting performed work to ensure operational reliability.
  • Make necessary adjustments safely during production.
  • Familiarity with start-up and shut-down processes in production plants.
  • Utilize lockout/tag-out procedures to ensure safety when isolating equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical components using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Establish a replacement schedule for parts to minimize disruption to processes, intervening only when safe repairs are not feasible.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in ammonia refrigeration or relevant refrigeration experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with air compressors and associated control systems.
  • Good communication skills to ensure timely resolution of issues.
