WHAT YOU'LL DO
This position will provide timely and reliable financial and administrative support to the North America (NAMR) finance organization.⯠As a member of the NAMR Finance team, he/she/they will participate in the monthly closing process and may assist in the preparation of the US financial reporting involving 30+ offices.⯠In addition, the co-op will assist in Other Cost review by researching variances and addressing questions. The role will provide technical support to the Accounts Payable and General Ledger teams that includes preparation for various financial, tax and internal audit.â¯
YOU'RE GOOD AT
  • Support the US Accounting functionâ¯
  • Create Monthly journal entriesâ¯
  • Perform various balance sheet and expense account reconciliationsâ¯
  • Assist in U.S. financial statement reviewâ¯â¯
  • Analyze and explain month over month variances for other costs and revenueâ¯
  • Utilize Oracle reports and Business Objects queries to address questions and/or research issuesâ¯
  • Participation in various auditsâ¯â¯
  • Preparation of Year-end and Interim audit schedules for PWCâ¯
  • Assist in gathering information for various tax auditsâ¯
  • Assist as needed in preparation for internal auditâ¯
  • Update Assets within the FA system on weekly basis so depreciation method will be correct for the month end journal entryâ¯
  • Support the US Accounting and Accounts Payable teams with special projects as needed

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • Must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in the Northeastern University Co-op Program
  • Individual enrolled in a BS/BA in Business program (Finance and/or Accounting)â¯â¯
  • Prior work/co-op experience a plusâ¯
  • Strong organization skills, communication skills and orientation to detailâ¯
  • PC proficient / âknackâ for software applicationsâ¯
  • Familiarity with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principlesâ¯â¯
  • Willingness to provide a wide range of financial services from routine tasks to intricate financial management dataâ¯
  • Self-motivated accounting professional with strong analytical, organizational, communication and system skills will be necessary to be successful in this roleâ¯
  • Oracle Financial Systems and Business Objects experience a plus.â¯
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program. Current college/university must have an existing co-op partnership with BCG's Global Services organization and recognize full-time employment as academic credit that will be part of the student's official transcriptâ¯
  • Must meet the co-op program eligibility requirements of the current college/university's academic department and student must be approved by the college/university to participate in the co-op programâ¯
  • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the minimum duration of the co-op cycle (January-June)â¯
  • Must be authorized to work in the United Statesâ¯

YOU'LL WORK WITH
This position will work with both US Accounts Payable and General Ledger teams to provide accounting support and deliver accurate results to key stakeholder (BCG functional finance teams, auditors and BCG vendors/customers)â¯.
