Vaco is looking for a motivated Internal Controls Specialist to join the accounting team at an emerging manufacturing company. The position will be responsible for maintaining internal controls, oversight of risk, and ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program. Responsibilities:
* Maintain oversight of SOX testing schedule and its programs.
* Take the lead on assigned projects, manage deliverables, and develop relevant reports.
* Assist with controls transitioned from local entities to the business support center.
* Propose new ways to address current issues, situations and provides solutions.
* Apply understanding of the organization's technology, systems and data to support SOX process and controls analysis.
* Successfully manage complex projects with demanding deadlines and key stakeholders.
Education and Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree is required; Master's degree is helpful but not required
* Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial controls (SOX 404), and risk assessment
* Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
* Advanced MS Office Suite, Excel, Word, SharePoint. VBA knowledge is a plus
* Ability to focus on new or ambiguous circumstances in relation to SOX program and project management
* Advanced organizational and problem solving skills with abilityto interpret data

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
