Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist I

  • Facility: Morton Plant North Bay

  • Location: New Port Richey, FL

  • Status: PRN, Exempt: No

  • Shift Hours: Varies

  • Weekend Work: Occasional

  • On Call: No

Responsibilities:

  • Performs all diagnostic testing and quality controls

  • Prepares reagents

  • Reports results according to established policies and procedures

  • Reviews and oversees moderate to high complexity testing

  • Uses, monitors, and maintains computer applications appropriate to the position

  • Maintains equipment and supplies

  • Works independently and in a team

  • Must have customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrates organizational, time management, critical thinking, written, and verbal skills

  • Uses and understands medical terminology

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Required - State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License

  • Preferred - ASCP certified

Education:

  • Required - Associate’s

  • Preferred - Bachelor’s

Experience:

  • Preferred - 1 year laboratory related
