About the job

The Marketing Manager is responsible for enhancing the customer experience through management of the product line, research & insights and leading Coffee Competency initiatives.  The role requires an in-depth understanding of the customer, market, product and Franke organization to drive mutually beneficial growth. 

Your tasks

Product Management (45%)

 

  • Oversee the entire product life cycle from launch to discontinuation
  • Provide sales support through presentations and other materials
  • Partner with sales teams to drive business development, assess product feedback, implement improvements, and deliver comprehensive reports

 

Research & Insights (30%)

 

  • Conduct quarterly market updates to stay abreast of industry trends
  • Track and report on competitive activities
  • Analyze customer data, particularly from key accounts, to inform strategies

 

Coffee Competency Lead (25%)

 

  • Lead internal coffee training programs to enhance team knowledge
  • Drive thought leadership initiatives and engage actively in the coffee industry

 

Other:

 

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to achieve business goals
  • Research and recommend pricing policies and appropriate sales channels
  • Plan, develop, and execute tradeshow strategies, managing the company’s presence at events
  • Manage overall communication and PR strategy across print, electronic, web, and direct mail
  • Coordinate new product introductions and market communications with marketing and sales teams
  • Collaborate on content development and targeted messaging across all platforms
  • Oversee all content creation activities, including collateral, customer presentations, case studies, and social media
  • Ensure integration of marketing strategies into all communications and work products
  • Manage the annual marketing budget, authorizing expenditures and tracking project costs
  • Analyze landing page traffic and leads, compile statistics, and collaborate with sales teams on action plans
  • Work with Customer Service and After Sales teams to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities, enhancing customer retention and loyalty
  • Ability to travel as needed
     
Requirements
  • BS/BA Degree required; preferably in Marketing
  • 5+ years’ relevant marketing experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Sales and Marketing — Knowledge of key marketing and sales principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Design — Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in communicating and promoting brand awareness.
  • Language Skills: Advanced Skills - Ability to write, edit, and proofread documents such as brochures, white papers, case studies, brochures, etc. Ability to design and/or proof designs and layouts. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Mathematical Skills: Intermediate Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as product pricing and discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability: Intermediate – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphical format. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop and Indesign
