Job Summary:

The Business Development Analyst will use data to help identify sales opportunities, cost reductions and profit improvements through analysis of different sets of data: historical sales, product mix, ratio of finished goods / testers, and point of sale material (POSM) investment. He/ she will work closely with Area Sales Managers, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to request data, communicate findings, and help implement recommendations.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Reporting & Analysis
  • Analyze the coherence of sell-in and sell-out results, and support the identification of business opportunities.
  • Ensure that point of sale material (POSM) is ordered according to forecast and in alignment with the ratios established by the brand.
  • Analyze fill rates, the impact of out-of-stock (OOS), and provide insights for business recovery.
  • Create and disseminate reports detailing findings and recommendations to improve performance.
  • Create a system that allows for the monitoring of the adequate inventories at distributor warehouses.
  • Conduct profitability analysis of the brand assortment and make recommendations to improve brands’ productivity.
  • Analyze ROI of overinvestments, particularly in Mexico and Chile.
  • Present data in a way that tells a compelling story.
  • Manage and maintain departmental databases and periodical reports.
Account Management
  • Review and confirm that orders from distributors respond to brand priorities, purchase plan, and sell-out targets while identifying and communicating potential risks in achieving monthly sales targets.
  • Identify and support assortment optimization.
  • Support negotiation efforts through the use of data; share findings in a strategic manner
Miscellaneous/Ad Hoc
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications & Competencies:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, data analytics or related field
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in a sales or data analytics function
  • Prior experience in a consumer-packaged goods environment; luxury industry, or Local Markets will have an advantage
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, and sense of ownership and business development
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Good communication skills and highly adaptable to different cultures
  • Strong command of oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish (Portuguese, a plus)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, mainly excellent Excel abilities (Power BI, a plus)
