RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

Lead and manage the operations of the AIMSS Cloud and Infrastructure team in executing the development and maintenance of key cloud and on-premise infrastructure and systems.  Reports directly to AIMSS Deputy Program Manager and coordinates closely with AIMSS Chief Architect

 

Provide technical and administrative oversight and management of the Cloud and Infrastructure Team

Provide administrative oversight and management to include interview conduction and team personnel selection, on-boarding support, timecard approvals, leave request approvals, privileged user account requests, and equipment and resource requests
Provide technical oversight and management to include accurate, efficient, on-time design, development, testing, delivery, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cloud and on-premise infrastructure


Work with the MDA customer to capture functional and technical requirements and ensure iterative and final capabilities meet requirements
Support a disciplined approach to architecture and execution using an agile approach, ensuring hardware, software, and methodology align with cybersecurity standards and best practices
Effectively coordinate with scrum masters, Deputy Program Manager, Chief Architect and MDA customer regarding projects to control cost, schedule, communications, personnel, etc.
Coordinate with Cybersecurity team (ISSOs, etc.) to ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements, such as RMF, ATO’s, Fortify scans, etc.
Ensure virtual machines, hardware, edge devices etc. are patched, STIG’d, and otherwise remain compliant with DoD and MDA cybersecurity policies
Coordinate with Chief Architect and Data and Software Solutions Leads to ensure alignment of efforts, plans, architecture and solutions
Ensure effective hardware and software lifecycle management, maintaining awareness of and planning for expiration and end-of-life scenarios
Ensure designs and solutions are approved by Chief Architect and customer at appropriate intervals
Ensure the environment and hardware maintains compliance with organizational policies, e.g. information assurance policies, governance policies, information architecture, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity etc.
Ensure solutions are developed to maximize existing capabilities in order to minimize the risks and costs associated with custom development
Provide oversight for help desk operations and support, ensuring proper staffing, timely and accurate troubleshooting, and professional communications 
Coordinate with cloud/hardware/software vendors as required
Support MDA or contract technical/engineering boards as required

 
 QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
 

BS in Computer Science preferred
Minimum 10 years experience with cloud, virtual machines, server hardware, edge devices
Minimum 5 years experience leading a technical team
AWS, Azure, AI/ML experience required
DoD experience required 
Must have a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully lead and collaborate with team members. Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
Strong, proven leadership skills with ability to work as part of the team

 

Ability to effectively interact with end users and translate business language into technical requirements
Ability to think critically and maintain a positive, innovative work ethic
Working knowledge of cyber secure development practices
Ability to orchestrate agile execution of technical efforts
Familiar with DoDAF views (OV, SV, SrvcV)
Problem solving skills with the ability to look for root causes and implementable, workable solutions
MDA experience preferred

ITIL Foundation, preferred
Azure Solutions Architect and AWS Solutions Architect
