This position will provide an opportunity to gain experience in copywriting, content strategy, graphic design, and marketing. This person will work directly with the Marketing Writer & Content Strategist (70%) and Graphic Designer (30%). They will work closely with the External Relations Marketing Department, which oversees marketing strategy and outreach for current and prospective students.

Responsibilities*

  • Assist Marketing Writer with ongoing writing and video projects
  • Assist Graphic Designer with ongoing design projects
  • Create print and digital collateral
  • Develop and write content for emails, admissions blog, and other marketing materials
  • Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to brainstorm and execute innovative content strategies that are compelling to target audiences
  • Stay ahead of the latest trends in higher education marketing to ensure content is relevant and effective
  • Reach out to faculty and students for quotes, volunteer opportunities, and content questions

Required Qualifications*

  • Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; elevated storytelling skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, photoshop, illustrator)
  • Creative thinker
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
