Shift Differential for overnight shifts
The maintenance mechanic will be responsible for all production maintenance, including product quality control, line maintenance, and repair of line machinery and equipment. This role involves applying mechanical expertise in determining work methods and procedures for producing quality product. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Follow all safety policies, work instructions and programs to ensure a safe working environment, including proper use of all PPE, safety equipment, Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, Housekeeping, and 5S standards.
Perform routine preventive maintenance checks and tasks on all production equipment and machinery such as lubrication, filters, cleaning, and housekeeping.
Repair basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components and replace parts on machines such as bearings, wiring, valves, gauges, motors, and switches.
Troubleshoot and repair production equipment in the areas of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and machine controls.
improve quality production; and improve plant efficiency. Document all assigned work through the work order system.
3-5 years’ experience in a maintenance capacity within a manufacturing environment. Experience within the plastic injection molding industry or similar plastics production facility is a plus.
~ Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment such as injection molding machines, resin vacuum systems, and plant automation is preferred.
~ Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blueprints, electrical and hydraulic schematics, charts, diagrams, etc.
~ Basic understanding of systems, equipment, and schematics
~ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Availability to work night shift.
Ability to work a 12- hour shift for 42 hours per week.
Prefer high school graduates or GED’s
Sufficient work experience to be successful on the job.
