We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Mauser Packaging Solutions. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive maintenance checks and tasks on all production equipment and machinery, including lubrication, filters, cleaning, and housekeeping.
- Repair basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components and replace parts on machines such as bearings, wiring, valves, gauges, motors, and switches.
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment in the areas of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and machine controls.
- Accomplish all assigned work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease scrap; improve quality production; and improve plant efficiency.
- Document all assigned work through the work order system.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years' experience in a maintenance capacity within a manufacturing environment
- Experience within the plastic injection molding industry or similar plastics production facility is a plus
- Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment such as injection molding machines, resin vacuum systems, and plant automation is preferred
- Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blueprints, electrical and hydraulic schematics, charts, diagrams, etc.
- Ability to use measuring devices including amp meters, calipers, and hydraulic gauges
- Basic understanding of systems, equipment, and schematics
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions
- Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties
- Availability to work night shift
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift for 42 hours per week
- Able to lift 35 pounds
- Implement and follow safe work practices and rules
- Successfully pass a physician's examination, drug screen, background check, and e-verify
- Willing to have a baseline audiometric test
