Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our Plant Engineering team at 3M. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform failure mode and effect analysis to identify and implement preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Apply reliability-based maintenance programs such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to optimize equipment performance.
  • Assess and develop the capabilities of craftspersons to improve reliability and advance their technical skills.
  • Analyze data to develop and implement improvement plans, and serve as the equipment reliability subject matter expert for the business.
  • Manage and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of reliability programs.
  • Provide leadership support for maintenance-conscious engineering strategies and perform criticality analysis to support effective critical spares strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline.
  • Three combined years of experience in maintenance, engineering, manufacturing, and/or plant engineering in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Additional qualifications include a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical/control engineering or electro/mechanical engineering, ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, and ability to communicate technical information to a diverse audience.
