The Registered Nurse – Practice (RN) is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties which include assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response. Refers to and consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent and resolve problems or concerns. The RN Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions
Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities.
