Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs). SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. This might involve guiding customers as they refactor an application or designing entirely new cloud-based systems. The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We are looking for a Streaming Data Specialist Solutions Architect to join our AWS team. This individual will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for helping customers leverage AWS managed services such as Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK), Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, Amazon Data Firehose, and Amazon Managed Service for Apache Flink as well as self-managed Apache Kafka and Apache Flink running on AWS to solve their data management needs. As a trusted customer advocate, the specialist solutions architect will help organizations understand advanced cloud-based solutions and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS within organizations ranging from new start-ups to large enterprise customers. Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide.
Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

- 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
- Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
