We have a great opportunity for a dynamic and motivated CNC Machinist II to join our team in Bloomfield, CT on day shift.
The core hours for the position are 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM, and we are currently running one hour of mandatory overtime, at the beginning of the shift for a required 45 hours a week.
5x the hourly rate for all hours in excess of 40 hours in a week.
This includes a one week paid shutdown during the holidays that does not require you to use vacation time.
Our products are used in space, aviation, marine, hydropower and other industrial applications. As an industry leader we design, test and manufacture the highest performing, self-lubricating, roller element, metal to metal and miniature bearings in the industry.
With limited technical supervision, checks out programming, sets up, operates and adjusts semi-automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring considerable skill
Works from programming instructions, operational data and machine setup instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and console settings
Perform operations that may include drilling, honing, boring, milling and turning, screw machine operation, etc., on routine and repetitive operations.
Checks parts for conformance to specifications
Perform all responsibilities within productivity and quality expectations
Machining Training Certificate preferred
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNC Machinist II
minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience as a CNC machinist
Limited technical supervision
Requires knowledge of machining techniques such as cutting jaws, touching tools off and tramming fixtures
Familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures such as dry run, geometry and wear offsets, MDI functions and basic G codes
