Registered Respiratory Therapist

Provides direct patient care and implements a plan of respiratory care initiated by the registered nurse/physician.
Provides accurate and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care.
Performs and oversees oxygen therapy along with aerosols and humidification therapy.
Performs and oversees ventilator and tracheotomy care including weaning.
Helps order respiratory care supplies and maintains a list for the facility.
Participates in patient and family education for discharge to home.
Reporting the identified needs to the registered nurse and/or Clinical Supervisor.
Utilizes all available resources in planning care and consults as needed with RN's, medical staff, outside specialists or consultants, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Continuously reviews, evaluates, and documents the effectiveness of nursing care, and accomplishment of client goals for discharge. Performs other duties as assigned by the registered nurse and/or Clinical Supervisor. 6-8 hr shift. Schedule can be discussed and indivualized. Compensation is based on experience.
