Job Summary:

The Director of Manufacturing Operations plays a pivotal role in the manufacturing operations at Clean Rooms West, LLC, overseeing the execution of production processes and ensuring the highest quality standards. This role will have the primary responsibility of managing the Manufacturing and Shipping departments while coordinating with Engineering, Sales and Field personnel. The role demands a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of manufacturing, inventory controls, and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight:

  • Ensure that the Production Managers projects are completed on time and to the specified quality.
  • Coordinate with various departments (e.g., design engineering, project management, and sales) to facilitate projected workflow and materials procurement.
  • Responsible for scheduling production and completing production reports.
  • Implement and monitor production schedules, adjusting as necessary in response to any challenges or delays.
  • Responsible for entering the Bill of Materials and coordinating with the Shipping Department for shipments.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure compliance with CRWs routine manufacturing procedures.
  • Oversight of quality control processes, including final inspection of materials and finished products.
  • Inspect receiving shipments of inbound raw materials.
  • Inspect shipments of outbound finished products.
  • Point of contact for all field questions regarding shipments and materials.
  • Address and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

  • Manage inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary materials.
  • Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and spot inventory counts to ensure adequate inventory levels.
  • Coordinate suppliers and vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of supplies.
  • Manage the return of job site materials to determine final disposition.

Experience:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in managing a manufacturing/production environment.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and able to understand the bills of materials and shipping documents.
  • Proficient in Excel and Scheduling software.
  • Proficient in production planning and quality assurance.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • This role typically operates in a production environment, which may require standing for extended periods and the ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear as necessary.
