Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Sewing Operator to join our team. The Sewing Operator will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, contributing to the production of aerospace and military-grade equipment and components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, precision sewing skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Job Duties:

• Operate industrial sewing machines to sew various materials, including but not limited to, ballistic nylon, canvas, and specialized fabrics used in aerospace and military applications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure accurate sewing operations.
• Perform quality checks on sewn components to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including routine maintenance of sewing machines and equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to always ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity in the sewing department.
• Assist in other manufacturing tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Sewing Operator in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or military manufacturing.
• Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and equipment.
• Strong understanding of sewing techniques, patterns, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
• Prior experience with specialized sewing techniques or materials used in aerospace/military applications is a plus.
