Beacon Behavioral Support Services is one of the largest and most established behavioral health programs in Louisiana. For 25 years, Beacon employs caring staff at locations across southeast Louisiana: Baton Rouge, Metairie, Slidell, Hammond, Bogalusa, Bunkie, Opelousas, and Lutcher. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR RN IN BUNKIE

Must have Registered Nurse Licensure in the state of operation.
Must have a Bachelor’s, Associate degree or diploma in nursing with documented evidence of educational program focused on treating psychiatric patients.
Must have at least 2 years of nursing experience, 1 year of which was providing nursing care to the mentally ill, OR receive regular documented supervision/consultation from a Master’s prepared psychiatric nurse.
Certification in Basic Life Support required.
Certification in non-violent crisis intervention.
RN must be able to provide backup support to the DON, including but not limited to on call responsibilities some weekdays, nights and/or weekends.
RN should be able to assist with hiring competent clinical team members and assist in providing nursing education.
RN must have experience with initial nursing assessments and discharge planning for mentally ill patients.
Previous management experience a plus.
