We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Beacon Behavioral Support Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals struggling with mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities- Function as the Charge Nurse, responsible for nursing care and supervision of LPNs, CNAs, and Mental Health Technicians.
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of the treatment program, including individual Plans of Care.
- Serve as the Medication Nurse as needed and assist LPNs and all staff as needed.
- Assist the DON as the liaison between the program staff and medical staff.
- Work within established budget and staffing guidelines.
- Participate in Performance Improvement by engaging in the plan, study, do act cycle of improvement.
- Serve as a role model to others of professionalism, positive attitude, and excellent patient care.
- Must have Registered Nurse Licensure in the state of operation.
- Must have a Bachelor's, associate degree, or diploma in nursing with documented evidence of educational program focused on treating psychiatric patients.
- Must have at least 2 years of nursing experience, 1 year of which was providing nursing care to the mentally ill, OR receive regular documented supervision/consultation from a Master's prepared psychiatric nurse.
- Certification in Basic Life Support required.
- Certification in non-violent crisis intervention.
