Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and customer/patient-focused individual to join our Patient Services team within our Cardiology office. In this role, you will support patients over the phone in their scheduling needs via inbound calls. We strive for first-call resolution for appointment scheduling, canceling, rescheduling, patient registration, and documentation in accordance with patient privacy and safety standards. Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner. The successful candidate will take an average of 50-70 calls per day in a typical 8-hour day.
  • This role will primarily be back-end duties. Employees will also be cross-trained in front desk duties
  • Schedule appointments and update patient records.
  • Assist with patient inquiries and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify patients’ needs, clarify information, research every issue, and provide solutions and/or alternatives.
  • Document all call information according to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a similar role in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience as a Medical Receptionist or Medical Call Center/Customer service, pharmacy or related preferred.
  • Prior EMR/EHR experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance procedures, and electronic health records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in patient data entry and scheduling.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Details:
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:30am - 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
  • Pay: $18 - $20/hr. based on related experience
  • Pay cycle - weekly | medical, dental & vision benefits offered.
  • Onsite position located in Hartford, CT. From time to time, coverage may be needed in Manchester & Farmington, CT offices.
