We are seeking a Project Engineer to join the exciting development of next-generation Computing Products in Cedar Rapids, IA. We are focused on applying this solution across various Avionics products in safety-critical commercial and military applications.

We are looking for a strong leader with an action-oriented mindset who can evaluate individual and project performance while anticipating changes. The ability to assemble a high-fidelity bid is also critical to this role, with the established skill/discipline of capturing high-quality scope & ROADS in written form.

This position may be eligible for relocation.
*Serves as the engineering project leader for programs developing Avionics products, including coordinating hardware, software, and firmware scope to meet program commitments.

* Serves as engineering project leader, supplying project management and technical direction during all program phases, including pursuit, bidding, planning, execution, and sustainment.

* Ensures consistency with Collins Aerospace technical consistent engineering processes.

* Leads a wide range of entry-level to highly experienced engineers.

* Demonstrates technical ability to process platforms and the associated technologies.

* Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.

* Demonstrated systems and/or software engineering experience on complex avionics programs.
