Salary:

WWCM has an opening for an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The role of the CTO is to oversee the effectiveness of technology resources at WWCM. The CTO's role requires communicating with other executives, performing research on new technologies that can enhance business and monitoring the use and implementation of new and existing technologies across departments.

The CTO shall plan, coordinate, and manage the technical actions taken by the organization to initiate and execute government contracts. The CTO will serve as the WWCM single point-of-contact with the program office for technical management and cybersecurity matters that includes contract-level issues. The CTO must effectively negotiate differences that may exist between WWCM, our partners, our vendors, and the customer in order to bring together a cohesive/efficiently running development and maintenance organization from a technicial perspective. The CTO must provide leadership and have the interpersonal communication skills necessary to inspire, lead, direct, and manage a large organization. The CTO will interface with senior leaders and directors to help maintain and sustain critical infrastructure. Additionally, the CTO serves as a single point of contact for the Contracting Officer and the COR.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical strategy recommendations to the leadership team and oversee all technical decisions
  • Meet with the CEO to discuss the best practices for company IT and develop cybersecurity plans to improve the company’s overall technical health
  • Provide leadership and management to the IT department
  • Support the IT department in developing short and long term technical goals
  • Serve as a key point of contact for the IT department and compliance auditors
  • Identify and address potential IT and cybersecurity risks for the company
  • Implement strategies and systems to improve technical performance
  • Review technical reports and manage technical systems performance
  • Supervise the IT department and ensure that all activities are current and updated
  • Present reports on the company’s technology status, goals and/or progress
  • Create and implement technology strategies
  • Align the company’s technology resources with the organization’s short- and long-term goals
  • Identify what technologies can be used to improve the company’s products and services
  • Create and oversee high-level KPIs for IT department
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding and training IT managers
  • Train and increase awareness and knowledge related to IT and cybersecurity management matters across the organization
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess organization and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of latest technological advances that could benefit company
  • Knowledge of all functions and roles withing IT department
  • Knowledge of best information security practices
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure

Minimum Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship and must have the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience for a major company or division of a large corporation
  • Experience in partnering with an executive team and possess a high level of written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrate integrity, respect, and a commitment to excellence, collaboration, agility, and diversity
  • Experience organizing, directing, and managing contract operation support functions involving multiple, complex, and interrelated project tasks
  • Experience effectively communicating at senior levels within a customer organization
  • Experience meeting with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items, and effectively execute in accordance with approved plans
  • Ability to collaborate with technical staff and customers in forming strategies to improve performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness
  • Experience with large scale information sharing between teams across multiple locations
  • Experience mentoring staff in order to maintain high levels of performance and positive morale

Desired Qualifications:

  • Preferred candidates possess a Master's degree, or PhD in a related technical field
  • Possess several certifications in development, programming, database administration or other related fields
  • Prior experience at a tech company
  • Ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
