Our engineers manage their own time and schedule, with a typical work week being 40 hours a week, half day on Fridays and options for remote work. J-U-B takes great care of their clients and their employees.

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to work in one of our J-U-B offices, preferably in our Meridian, ID or Logan, UT office. Our team has long-term core clients who are developing interesting and challenging projects. The Structural Engineer will perform structural analysis of various building systems and materials and complete design calculations using the latest codes (IBC, ACI, AISC, NDS, ASCE 7); Quality control reviews of other team member's work Client interaction and communication on projects will be expected.

Structural design using concrete, steel, wood and masonry
Design of buildings, structures for complex infrastructure including hydraulic structures, water tanks, water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, etc.
Lateral wind and seismic analysis of new and existing structures
Foundation selection and design
Retaining wall structure design
Client communication, project engineering and project management, including development of estimated design fees
Mentoring and oversight of developing engineering staff
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required
~ 15+ years of structural engineering experience
~ AutoCAD and Revit experience are strongly preferred
~ Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
~ Preferred software knowledge: Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills
