Phlebotomy Registration Specialist

For more information, visit EOE Position Information: The Clinical Services Technician collects pathology specimens at free standing Ambulatory Care Centers. Responsible for the registration processing and allocation of laboratory specimens and orders from all sources. Utilizes requisite equipment instruments and computer systems to test request accession correctly label and package specimens to ensure specimen integrity for delivery via courier to appropriate laboratory facility. Performs specified procedures within scope of established testing methods and responsibilities. Performs POCT and appropriately documents routine maintenance and quality control procedures on specified equipment and trouble shoots as needed. Manages patient wait times and expectation utilizing available computer systems and clear communication. Works both independently and as part of a team with general and /or periodic review by supervisory staff.
