The staff Radiologic Technologist is responsible for radiological patient care from neonatal to geriatric. The technologist performs related duties to provide quality care dictated by departmental and Hunt Regional Healthcare policies and procedures.

*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*

The position requires a willingness to work well with others and to always demonstrate courtesy, professionalism and compassion. He/She should maintain confidentiality in matters entrusted by the patients and clinicians. He/she should also be alert to detect conditions dangerous to the patients or personnel and possess professionalism under stressful conditions. There is always a danger of exposure to radiation or contagious disease, but these can be minimized by observing proper precautions.

* Know and applies radiation safety precautions.
* Correctly prepares oral and IV contrast media.
* Assists with training and mentoring Radiology students and new employees.
* Assists in other areas where trained as needed. Performs any other duties to fill the needs of the department, hospital and its patients.
