Contract Manager

The Opportunity:

LHH has partnered with a premier firm in the Offshore Wind sector to hire their next Contracts Manager. The Contract Manager will work on both contractual and commercial matters, as well as analyzing and advising on contractual risks and opportunities. The Contract Manager will also provide support to project management on such matters relating to their projects. The ideal candidate must be capable of working in different teams and on different projects simultaneously.

Your Role:

  • Drafting and reviewing contract documents and other agreements.
  • Preparation and/or review of charter parties/rental agreements as required.
  • Assist liaising with government departments, authorities, and other stakeholders as directed by the Director, Contract Management or above.
  • Assist with preparation and review of commercial, statutory and/or contractual documents, insurances and financial instruments.
  • Assist with the review of tender documents and preparation of tender submissions as directed by the Director, Contract Management.
  • Participate in the preparation of changes, claims and proposals with the Director, Contract Management and/or Project Sponsors.
  • Support management at negotiations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • 5+ years experience preferably in the marine or civil construction industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with; (1) Federal government contracts (based on the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), other state and municipal and authority contracts; and (2) private industry bespoke contracts.
  • Experience with FAR, BIMCO, EJCDC and AIS contracts.
  • FIDIC and/or LOGIC knowledge

Additional Information

Location- Houston, Texas ONSITE

Salary: $110-120k
