Purpose

The Construction Scheduler is responsible for providing support and guidance to proposal and management teams in planning, developing, updating and analysis of the project schedules, from bidding/ proposal through commission and turnover to the owner.


Experience

  • BA, BS, or MS degree required in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction
  • Knowledge and experience in planning and developing schedules for Commercial and Healthcare projects.
  • Minimum of 2-years of construction scheduling experience
  • Knowledge/experience in commercial and healthcare means and methods
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing and providing solutions to scheduling issues
  • Problem solving and results oriented skills
  • Knowledge of construction practices/procedures required
  • General knowledge of negotiated bids, hard bids, GMP processes
  • Proficiency in Primavera 6 required
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
  • Ability to respond quickly and efficiently in a timely manner to all deadlines and issues


Primary Duties

  • Development of best practices, scheduling standards and procedures to better the scheduling and planning process.
  • Assist Marketing, Preconstruction and Operations staffs in development of proposal and bid schedules.
  • Develop and implement the Work Breakdown Structure, Work Item Lists, CPM Timetable, Preliminary Master Schedule, CPM development, resource and costs analysis and reports.
  • Update and verify the CPM as required by project specifications (at least monthly). Identify significant schedule risks to Division and Operations personnel.
  • Assist the field with the proper implementation of fragments to track changes in schedule updates
  • Assist the field with time impact analysis by ability to status before impact, predict effect at completion, track status during impact and compare status actual with status before impact.
  • Analyze the results of status input, review results with site staff and determine and agree upon any necessary schedule modifications.
  • Prepare and update during course of construction: Baseliner Schedule with comparison to original; CPM Time-scaled Logic; Short Term Schedule report and Resource allocation reports.
  • Generate Schedule Report consisting of all activities, with early and late dates and total float; histograms and curves for manpower requirements.

Office environment. Must be physically fit enough to function safely on the job site.
