Field Service Technician

Boise, United States Windsor Windows and Doors Full time

Windsor Windows & Doors/Redstone Windows & Doors, a division of Woodgrain Millwork, has an immediate opening for a Field Service Technician traveling and servicing customers in the Northwest United States.  Ideally, this candidate will reside near the Boise, Idaho area.  Minimum requirements include: 2 to 3 years of work-related experience; valid driver’s license; and vehicle insurability.  The pay range for this position is $29 - $33 depending on the skillset.

 

Essential Duties include but not limited to:

·       Review repairs and determine causes for failure or defect(s) and help formulate solutions.

·       Set up, work on or with scaffolds and ladders.

·       Operate basic power tools and maintain tools and vehicle as needed.

·       Ability to paint as necessary.

·       Maintain and update Sales Force.

·       Miscellaneous duties as assigned by department manager.

 

Qualifications for candidate include:

·       Attention to detail and specific knowledge of products and construction practices.

·       Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills presenting a positive representation of the company to inside and outside contacts with the mind frame of Easy To Do Business With (ETDBW).

·       Ability to perform mathematical problems.

·       Ability to work independently and make strong decisions.

·       Understanding of safety.

·       Good diagnostic skills – able to have an organized approach to identifying the root cause of a problem and how to handle the situation. 

·       Ability to drive vehicle long distances.

·       Ability to move hands easily and skillfully – to work with hands in placing and turning motions.

·       Ability to lift 50 pounds when necessary.

 

This candidate will be part of the Windsor Team located in West Des Moines, Iowa. Woodgrain/Windsor offers a good benefit package, paid holidays, PTO, along with a 401(k)-retirement plan.  Drug screen and background checks are required for employment.
