DAS Field Construction Manager

Location: Nothern VA, DC market


Experience

  • 4+ years wireless construction management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Visio Etc.
  • Proficiency in customer service principles and practices.



Description of Duties:


This position entails all phases of DAS Commissioning/integration in DAS and small cell projects. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to vet, maintain and supervise vendors/sub-contractors to ensure that they maintain our customer’s and our standards of quality of workmanship and safety.


  • Responsible for all aspects of 5 step DAS commissioning.
  • Conduct site surveys and bid walks. This will include but is not limited to furnishing detailed site floor plans, photos, scope documents and any required RF Field surveys as needed.
  • Perform Pre construction walks to determine feasibility of constructing the DAS/small cell in accordance with the dictates of the design.
  • The ideal candidate will possess the following current certifications:
  • OSHA 30
  • Corning Mobile Access commissioning
  • CommScope commissioning
  • JMA/Teko commissioning
  • First Aid/ CPR/ AED training
  • PIM certification (Kaelus/Anritsu)
  • Sweep certification (Anritsu)
  • RF awareness training
  • Assist in the identification and qualification of the various subcontractors required for the project including all site and building trades.
  • Create and Maintain a technical training program for all internal field personnel as it applies to DAS.
  • Ability to interface with Routers, Switches and DAS controllers using a PC is essential.
  • Monitor and ensure performance and quality workmanship of contractors.
  • Ensure 5 step commissioning document is properly maintained and checked for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with tenant’s point of contact and construction personnel to ensure accuracy in the owner’s development of tenant’s construction documents and built according to the CD’s.
  • Ability to conduct and/or review system sweeps and PIM results per customer’s specifications.
  • Conduct DAS commission update meetings, resolving disputes, providing ongoing feedback, and coordinating project punch list.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
