POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our field team is growing and we are looking to add new members In this role, you will be meeting customer expectations for quality, performance, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the troubleshooting, and maintenance of DAS around the country. In order to be successful in this role, you will be expected to read design documents; have familiarity with equipment like Fiber Repeaters, BDAs, splitters, couplers antennas etc.; to perform cable sweeps, test fiber and collect relevant data.

As a RF Field Technician, you will be tasked with…

  • Installing, maintaining, and providing technical support for wireless communication equipment.
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues with UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz analog and digital systems, mobile and portable radio equipment, dispatch consoles, and microwave systems.
  • Recommending hardware solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Hands-on installation and oversight of various communication equipment, including base stations, repeaters, mobile devices, and more.


REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:  

  • Must have minimum of 2-3 years’ experience with DAS
  • Experience in Troubleshooting and Testing of an installed base of BDA and Fiber based DAS.
  • Proficiencies in reading and understanding design plans to ensure smooth deployment of systems.
  • Proficient in installing and troubleshooting BDAs, antennas, couplers, splitters, coaxial cable.
  • Collect and deliver survey information including but not limited to equipment location, risers, pathways, obstacles that might block RF, donor location, roof penetrations, areas requiring conduit, important coverage areas.
  • Experience in installation of cabling in a construction environment.
  • Must have a working knowledge and experience utilizing Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, hand tools, power tools, drills, Sawzalls.
  • iBwave S/W experience a plus.
  • Ability to travel is a must up to 50%
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of DAS projects. Coordinate resources, provide accurate project requirements, and address customer concerns or issues as they arise.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of general construction experience.
  • Previous experience with DAS construction and other cellular systems is preferred.
  • General construction knowledge.
  • Existing OSHA certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret cabling diagrams and construction drawings.
  • Proficient with using various tools such as drills, saws, torque wrenches, crimpers, etc.
  • Experience fabricating various mounting setups (threaded rods, Unistrut etc.) and attaching them to various materials; drywall, wood, concrete.
  • High attention to detail and excellent ability to multi-task is crucial.
  • Has the desire to learn and advance within a technical field.
  • Proficient with using standard computer applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
