Director of Marketing - Lead Our Brand into the Future

In this pivotal role, you'll orchestrate all aspects of our marketing initiatives, from creative development to operational excellence. Leading a dynamic team consisting of an in-house Marketing Manager and specialized vendors, you'll shape our brand's presence across all channels while driving measurable business results.


Role Description

  • Lead and oversee all of the company's marketing efforts from creative to operations. This includes developing year-long strategic plans, creating and executing campaigns, managing budgets, and leading projects and team members.
  • Oversee marketing team members responsible for various segments or projects (e.g., content, search engine optimization, advertising, email blasts, branding, PR, social media) This currently includes one in-house Marketing Manager and a number of external marketing-related vendors.
  • Develop and create brand awareness, driving customer acquisition and retention, and helping increase sales.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing marketing efforts (e.g. SPAM, GDPR, private customer information)
  • Collaborate with internal team members/departments
  • Liaison with various areas of the organization to ensure that the objectives and efforts of the marketing department are aligned with the organizations goals.
  • Lead brand management across all platforms/uses.
  • Identify short- and long-term scheduling and resource needs
  • Understand key performance metrics and tracking tools for website analytics, competitor analyses, marketing/advertising campaign results, and translate results into actionable insights for marketing team
  • Conduct meetings regularly with internal stakeholders to review product and project pipeline, resolve challenges and brainstorm possible solutions, and provide leadership/guidance to ensure team is consistently performing above standard.
  • Lead the organizations digital marketing program, including social media, internal website and email campaigns to ensure brand consistency.
  • Create copy, source copy, and/or edit copy from other areas of the organization for marketing pieces, articles, and communications.
  • Manage online reputation for the company.

  • Successful track record in senior marketing roles and at least one previous Director of Marketing level role.
  • Experience in digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing. Exceptional knowledge of current marketing techniques and platforms.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage budgets.
  • Growth orientation.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, advertising, or communications
  • Proficiency with WordPress, SEO, content management systems, and design software
  • Competent in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Self-starter and quick to learn new software programs and technology.
  • Experience in technology or access control a plus.
