Clayton law firm is seeking a driven and ambitious Associate Attorney to join their Family Law group.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an attorney with some experience in family law to further develop their skills and advance their career in a supportive and collaborative environment. As an Associate Family Law Attorney, you will work closely with senior attorneys to provide comprehensive legal services to clients facing various family-related issues. This firm is looking for a candidate who possesses strong communication skills and is dedicated to achieving positive outcomes for clients.

Candidates must be licensed in Missouri and have excellent writing and analytical skills, an outstanding work ethic and a commitment to excellence on behalf of their clients. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are needed as well as the ability to work productively in both a team and individual environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in all aspects of family law proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including petitions, motions, agreements, and court pleadings.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediation sessions, and negotiations.
  • Advocate for clients' rights and interests while maintaining professionalism and integrity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case management and client satisfaction.
  • Assist in mentoring and guiding junior attorneys and support staff as needed.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends in family law practice.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients throughout the legal process, addressing their concerns and answering their questions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to client cases.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Missouri State Bar and in good standing.
  • 0-5 years of experience practicing family law.
  • Prefer a strong knowledge of family law statutes, regulations, and procedural rules, but willing to train.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Empathetic and compassionate demeanor when working with clients.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
