Job Title: Procurement Operations Buyer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Operations Buyer to join our team. The Procurement Operations Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement process, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, negotiation abilities, and experience in procurement and supply chain management.

Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Vendor Management:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and quality improvements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable and timely delivery of goods and services.

Procurement Process Management:

  • Coordinate the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Review and approve purchase requisitions, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Monitor procurement requests and follow up with stakeholders to resolve any issues or delays.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels and stock levels to ensure adequate supply and minimize stockouts.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs.
  • Implement inventory control measures and systems to track inventory movement and usage.

Contract Management:

  • Manage supplier contracts, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance and address any issues or discrepancies with suppliers.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings within the procurement process.
  • Implement best practices and initiatives to streamline procurement operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in procurement processes and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and systems (e.g., ERP, e-procurement platforms).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
