The position is based in our client's Reston, Virginia office, with a minimum of two days per week in the office. The position holder must be a US Citizen and capable of obtaining security clearances if necessary at the client's cost.


Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager Consultant to join our dynamic team in Reston, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both public and private sector clients, managing projects through the entire lifecycle from initiation to closure. This hybrid role requires a combination of on-site and remote work, providing flexibility while ensuring close collaboration with clients and team members.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships with both public and private sector stakeholders.
  • Full Lifecycle Management: Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide technical direction and support to project teams, ensuring that solutions meet client requirements and adhere to best practices.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate and allocate resources effectively, balancing workload across the team and ensuring optimal utilization.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present project status reports, documentation, and deliverables to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices, particularly when working with public sector clients.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and methodologies.


This role is part of our client's existing professional services (post sales delivery) team. This team provides consultancy services to deliver their Identity and Credential Management and Multi Factor Authentication software-based solutions to their customers, in government, aerospace & defense, banking, healthcare and other industries. You will be reporting to the Director of Technical and Professional Services. You will work alongside Technical Consultant SMEs to deliver billable professional services to their customers.


Day to Day Responsibilities:

§ Technical project manager but more for an individual that has technical acumen (maybe they have worked in a more technical role or more of a techy person in general),

§ Regular calls with the partners and clients, standups.

§ Looking for someone who can participate in those meetings, understand the technology, speak with the partner and customer intelligently (both their technology and the other pieces) and help to direct participation in the process and guide the technical consultants stay on track with the path for the customer.

§ Ideal Industry Experience (gov, np, consult…) - consulting experience is a must have and they would like to see someone in the security software space that has done consulting.
