The AEM Technical Product Owner will create and execute a product roadmap to effectively integrate and onboard the organization’s MarTech team onto the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform. A strong technical aptitude is critical, as the individual will interface closely with onshore and offshore engineering teams and web developers.



The Details:

  • Location: Remote (Chicago area preferred but not required)
  • Duration: 8 to 12-month contract-to-hire

What you’ll do:


  • Determine the costs and benefits of proposed technology development projects.
  • Recommend priority of technology initiatives with the goal of maximizing project benefits.
  • Direct marketing technology demand and capacity.
  • Articulate a concise & comprehensive end-to-end, data-driven story to depict key insights and recommendations that create business value.
  • Collaborate with the Business Product Owner to define and implement technical strategy that aligns with business objectives for the public website.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to refine requirements, optimize workflows, and document system specifications.
  • Recommend integration strategies for systems and technologies that enhance product capabilities and meet evolving business needs, supporting enterprise-wide consistency.
  • Own the product backlog, write/refine user stories, and ensure that all items are well-defined and prioritized for maximum value delivery.
  • Provide accurate estimates for project timelines and resource requirements to facilitate effective planning and execution.
  • Coordinate solution development and oversee its implementation, ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Anticipate technical challenges and develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted progress towards product goals.
  • Educate self on necessary processes, procedures, and operational risks associated with the product; ensure adherence to change management requirements.
  • Instill best practices in risk and quality management to uphold the integrity of product development processes and deliverables.
  • Lead the technical design process, translating user requirements and business goals into detailed technical specifications and documentation for development teams.
  • Analyze current business processes to propose technical improvements and document functional requirements.
  • Develop initial estimates for solution alternatives and deliver comprehensive recommendations to the business.
  • Foster professional growth and a learning environment by mentoring peers and team members on the nuances of AEM and front-end technologies.


What you have:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Programing experience in front-end technologies like JavaScript and HTML required. Full-stack programming experience required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of website management experience utilizing Adobe Experience Manager as CMS.
  • Proven track record in digital project management, including web application development, and configuration of packaged applications.
  • Strong experience navigating complex, matrixed client environments and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to develop a product/program roadmap.
  • Proficiency in project scoping, estimation, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, with a focus on aligning technical teams and business objectives.
  • 3+ years’ experience with Agile methodologies, with proficiency in using Agile tools such as Jira and Asana.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent experience with a solid understanding of Scrum practices and principles.



The starting pay range for this role is $65.00 - $70.00 per hour. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, training, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and determining factors for compensation are considered for each individual circumstance.
