Planet Technology has partnered with a Chicago area company to locate an Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Technical Lead for a full-time role.


We are seeking an experienced Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Technical Lead to join a growing Agile team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in leading the technical direction and execution of AEM projects. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership, mentoring developers, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality AEM implementations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the department by advising on working with the best tools to integrate AEM into existing tools and applications.
  • Manage developers and budgets for necessary projects.
  • Oversee the technical design, development, and implementation of AEM solutions.
  • Translate complex business requirements into well-defined technical solutions and architectures.
  • Architect, develop, and maintain reusable AEM components, workflows, and services.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Manage and prioritize the development workload for the AEM team.
  • Mentor and coach junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest AEM features, technologies, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments (business analysts, designers, project managers) to ensure project success.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex AEM issues.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of AEM governance and security strategies.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience developing and implementing AEM solutions.
  • Strong understanding of AEM architecture, including Sling, OSGi, and CRX.
  • Must have Agile Experience
  • Proven experience with Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with AEM development tools (e.g., Sling Models, Sightly, Touch UI).
  • Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team of developers.
  • AEM certification (AD0-E105) is strongly preferred
