We are looking for a proactive individual with a strong aptitude for analytics to assist with making data-driven decisions within our Altec Parts organization. This individual will be expected to work closely with a strong supply chain team and have the ability to optimize inventory models and forecasts, build and develop inventory planning tools, and clearly communicate expected and actual results to leadership.

Major Responsibilities

  Business Data Analyst 

  • Support Parts efforts in developing and maintaining data tools
  • Utilize the following skills to improve the effectiveness/efficiency of inventory planning for the parts organization:
    • SQL query writing skills
    • Business Intelligence software (e.g. Qlik Sense, Power BI)
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel (including Pivot table/charts, Power queries, and advance functions)
    • Microsoft O365 Power Platform tools (Lists, PowerAutomate, Power Apps, etc.)
  • Analyzes data to identify trends and predict results
  • Support routine data analysis & reporting activities
  • Ability to clearly articulate data & data findings to others with different levels of data expertise
  • Identify, analyze and resolve parts shortages
  • Communicate and coordinate business unit’s requirements to customers and suppliers
  • o i.e. needs, deadlines, impact to schedule, available alternatives
  • o Includes internal and external customers/suppliers
  • Commitment to expediting, prioritizing, and planning for the business unit's needs
  • Identifying and resolving errors
  • All other responsibilities as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: 

Preferred 

  • High School diploma or equivalent required 
  • 4-year Degree  Preferred 

- OR - 

  • High School diploma or equivalent required 
  • 7 years applicable experience (Purchasing, Supply Chain) 

AND  

  • Microsoft Office suite experience required 
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles and concepts required 
  • ERP system experience preferred 

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline (such as computer science, information technologies, data science, statistics, economics, and or mathematics)
  • One year of experience in data analytics or similar job function - related experience would include SQL query writing skills, advanced Excel skills, Qlikview/Qliksense, Power Platform Tools.
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles and concepts
  • ERP system experience
