Hybrid Temp-to-hire Physician Credentialing Specialist, Chicago, IL

Our client, an ACO, located on the near west side of Chicago, is seeking a Physician Credentialing Specialist to hire on a temp-to-hire, full time basis. This position is a hybrid position with Tu, Wed & Th in office and M, F at home. The Credentialing Specialist is part of three-person team that is involved with credentialing a total of 500 physicians.

Duties

  • Perform full cycle of credentialing for physicians for Medicaid (Impact), Medicare (CMS) and Commercial Health Plans.
  • Work with health plans to report the required credentialing information.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree
  • At least 3 years’ experience in credentialing physicians.
  • Accustomed to using credentialing software like CAQH ProView Software.
  • Knowledge of how to submit credentialing information to health plans and payers
  • Knowledge of health care industry, health plan, NCQA, MSO, CMS, Federal regulations.
  • Proficient in computer skills: MS Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
