Overview

The General Manager will compete for and acquire commercial work, State and Federal work and run the business in a profitable and efficient manner. Develop marketing strategies, business plans, and proposals for expanding operations and entering new markets.  Understand and meet contract requirements and lead the management team. A key to success will be establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with current and prospective customers to understand and meet their performance expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops and establishes goals and objectives of the corporation in accordance with board directives and corporation charter.
  • Achieve annual target revenue and target gross profit.
  • Develop and update the Company Business Plan.
  • Identify, develop and execute targeted marketing campaign to penetrate new markets and achieve new business goals.
  • Manage DSO levels to ensure compliance with annual performance agreement.
  • Manage Direct / Indirect Ratio to ensure compliance with annual performance agreement.
  • Constantly pursue new opportunities, increase quality and productivity. Report activities, progress and results.
  • Manages a system of responsible accounting including budget and internal controls.
  • Reviews activity reports and financial statements.
  • Manages objectives and plans in accordance with the changing environment.
  • Directs and coordinates formulation of financial programs to provide funding for new or continued operations to maximize return on investment and to increase productivity.
  • Coordinates with MIOS Operations Team on policies designed to protect and improve the corporations’ image and relations with customers, employees, shareholders, and the public.
  • Evaluates performance of executives for compliance with established performance agreement.
  • Provides reports and analysis to the MIOS President.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of senior level management. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • 12+ years of experience
  • 5+ years of Executive leadership experience
  • Additional relevant experience may be substituted for educational requirements

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance
  • Must have the ability to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Must have the ability to travel as required.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have excellent presentations skills.
  • Must have the ability to travel as required, with little or short notice.
  • Advanced working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
