Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Commercial Estimator at our Indianapolis, IN location. The Commercial Estimator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with construction estimating, communication, budgeting, project management, and roofs.


  • Preparing accurate labor quotes, material take-off quantities, bid documents, and proposals according to scope and other project requirements, and submit to clients by due dates.
  • Thoroughly reviewing incoming contracts to ensure accuracy of terms.
  • Facilitating transparent and effective communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clarity on project details, addressing inquiries, and proactively providing updates on project milestones and timelines.
  • Analyzing projects and auditing invoices while in production and after contract conclusion to ensure profitability.
  • Generating leads through client outreach and attending occasional networking events and trade shows.
  • Participating in training sessions for rollout of new technologies.
  • Adhering to and enforcing OSHA guidelines.


Qualifications

  • Construction Estimating and Project Management skills
  • Excellent communication and budgeting skills
  • Experience with roofs and construction
  • Ability to work on-site in Indianapolis, IN
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus


Compensation

Cochran Exteriors offers a generous salary base + commission structure, access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k program with 4% company match, and 80 hours PTO with 6 paid holidays per year.
