Duties:

  • Develop working budgets, schedules, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, change orders and other management tools
  • Support superintendents with various project related tasks
  • Help generate Requests for Information (RFIs) and track approvals
  • Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and shop drawing coordination
  • Assume responsibility and communicate effectively with all internal and external customers
  • May have more involvement in entire job cycle on selected projects under supervision
  • Assisting turnkey director to gather, prepare, review and process various project documents - submittals, contracts, budget information, purchase orders, schedules.
  • Processing change proposal takeoff and entry, including time and material changes
  • Tracking all project documents, materials and processing the data entry of information for the projects assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering/Management or related field
  • 1+ year of experience in commercial construction
  • Willingness to travel as needed to execute projects
  • Have general knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing
  • Read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems
  • Experience in Construction Management Software (i.e. Procore)
  • Design-build commercial construction experience
  • Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S. Key

Competencies:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of the company at field sites and offices, and effectively deal with vendors, customers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and file-sharing systems such as Dropbox, SharePoint, and/or OneDrive
  • Knowledge of various business and industry software programs is preferred, but a strong ability to learn new programs could be considered. Software regularly used include PlanGrid, Procore, Console, Autodesk and Textura * Understanding of construction project cycles.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, multi-task, and prioritize in order to meet deadlines.
  • Reading and understanding basic building plans, contracts, regulations and specs.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure quality standards.
  • Ability to plan, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized to meet regular deadlines, while also remaining flexible to ever-changing situations.
  • Possess well-defined problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently, but also possess self-awareness of when to seek guidance, assistance, or clarification from fellow employees.
  • Must have professional approach and conduct, including punctuality and personal presentation.
  • Professional and positive attitude toward responsibilities, and team-oriented spirit with co-workers.
  • Willingness to learn, but also to share knowledge with others in effort to improve existing processes through new ideas and innovations.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to interface with all levels of employees, executives, customers, officials, and subcontractor personnel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of contractual, financial, personnel, and privileged documents and communication.
